Poker Games Rules and Strategy

There are four "Suits" in a Deck of Cards: Clubs, Hearts, Spades and Diamonds. In Poker, all suits are considered to be equal. No suits is more powerful than another. There are 52 cards in a deck of poker cards. Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten through Two. That's 13 cards persuit for a total of 52.

Poker games are all about the strength of a hand. Most poker games use a "hand" of 5 cards. Some poker games use more cards, but you evaluate a hand by looking only at the 5 strongest cards.

Each 5 card hand has an order of the strength of the hand. The strength is determined by the hardest hand to achieve down to the easiest hand to achieve.

Here is the order: The strongest hand that you can have is Royal Flush. The second strongest hand that you can have is Straight Flush, any five cards in a row in the same suit.

A "Flush" means all the 5 cards are of the same suit in the example above, all are clubs. A "Straight" means the 5 cards numbers are in order in the example of 2,3,4,5,6 or 9,10,Jack,Queen and King. The next strongest hand is the Four of a Kind, with Aces as the highest. A "Full House" three of one kind and two of another. Flush are 5 cards all in the same suit. A Straight where 5 cards in order with a 5,6,7,8,9 with different suits. Three of a Kind for instance: 3 Aces with different suits together with 6 hearts and 7 diamonds. Two Pair, if you have two 7 cards with different suits that is Two Pair. One Pair, with 2 Aces and 7 with the highest card is higher than 2 Aces with the 6 card. In some cases, that there will be no pair, that's the time you will use the Highest Card or Cards for instance, Ace King is higher that Ace Queen.
